Vicinity has welcomed first-to-market and first-to-portfolio retailers in spades over the past year and, at The Glen, there's another to add to the list and this one's sure to get your taste buds tingling.

Foodle, the the brainchild of food entrepreneur David Loh, has opened it's doors bringing a variety of flavours from across Asia to Melbourne's east. The famous Asian grocer is a fully integrated supermarket featuring a market style grab and go/sit in ‘food-court’ experience. Foodle includes point-and-pick live seafood, a premium butcher with hotpot and Korean barbecue cuts, a Chinese barbecue restaurant,  dumpling factory, fresh produce and grocery shelves stacked with all your Asian needs.

Foodle at The Glen is poised to introduce several Australian firsts, enhancing the shopping experience for all visitors including a Japanese street food teppanyaki stall, fresh sushi bar, a noodle making machine where customers can witness and interact with the intricate process of noodle making and a Korean donut bakery offering freshly prepared, live on-site treats for visitors.

The new mega-market will be dedicated to all things Japanese and Korean, from crockery and groceries to beauty and baby products. Additionally, it will feature one of Australia's largest direct-to-consumer Japanese Wagyu offerings, a live seafood market where customers can select their items and have them prepared live by in-house chefs, and even an Asian roast offering.

Foodle’s unique offerings and interactive elements will undoubtedly enhance the shopping experience for our customers.

Introducing a store of this significance isn't something achieved overnight, it takes months and years of planning, using data and insights combined with local market knowledge and retailer liaison to identify and fitout the perfect space. This particular project commenced over two and a half years ago with a reconfiguration of what is now the fresh food precinct, creating the 1800sqm site to house Foodle.

A truly collaborative effort from leasing to the centre team, leasing design and delivery and a whole host of other teams, Foodle at The Glen deliver yet another exciting and unique offer in an ever-evolving retail mix.
